I’ve always been interested in the Blair Witch lore, which centers on Elly Kedward, who terrorized the town of Blair, now Burkittsville, during the late 1700's and was executed for her crimes. It's difficult to reorient yourself if you get lost, with each passing moment bringing night closer and making an already unsettling wrong turn seem. While I do think there’s a cool way to handle this franchise, I just don’t think the producers or creative team will ever do it. Neither one of those movies did very well at the box office. There have already been two sequels with Book of Shadows: Blair Witch 2 in 2000 and Adam Winger’s Blair Witch in 2016.

The first movie was Lightning in a Bottle that they will never be able to recapture, especially with how they keep handling it. Shadows, textures, light rays and colouring were chosen very. It’s interesting that Hollywood keeps trying to force this franchise on us. The graphic representation of the forest and my dog is outstanding. The film is being produced by Haxan Films, which is the production company that was behind the original Blair Witch Project, and both Daniel Myrick and Eduardo Sánchez, the writers and directors of the original movie, are listed as producers. The news comes from Production Weekly, and they say that Lionsgate is reportedly targeting a late summer/fall shoot. The Blair Witch Project franchise is going to live on with a new installment of the found footage horror series that will be directed by Oliver Park ( The Offering).
